A volunteer-led aid organization
Care4Ukraine is a volunteer-led aid group working with trusted local volunteers, community leaders, aid organizations, and medical NGOs across Ukraine. Together, we respond to practical needs identified by the people and communities we serve.
Care4Ukraine was founded in 2015 by Joseph Nichols, an American medical equipment and logistics engineer who has lived in Ukraine since 2014. It began as a children’s dental and educational initiative known as Keeping the Kids Learning. As needs changed, the work grew to include medical and dental supplies, children’s welfare, emergency assistance, repairs, communications support, and other locally requested aid.
A shared effort
The work is made possible by a wider network: volunteers who identify needs, partner organizations that share knowledge and resources, donors who make assistance possible, and people in Ukraine who guide every response.
Our approach
We listen first, coordinate locally, and direct support toward concrete needs. We stay practical, collaborative, and accountable—repairing what can be repaired, strengthening local capacity, and helping communities respond with dignity and resilience.
